Last Rest Cemetery is a privately-owned cemetery located across from Town Hall on Baboosic Lake Road in historic Merrimack, New Hampshire. Its 15 +/- acre site was commissioned in the early 1800's and is the burial location of several notable New Hampshire personalities. Walter Kittredge, a composer during the American Civil War, was born and died in Merrimack and is buried in Last Rest. 

James S. Thornton, great-grandson of Declaration of Independence signer Matthew Thornton and famous in his own right as an officer in the U.S. Navy during the American Civil War, is also interred at Last Rest. Nathaniel C. Barker, Congressional Medal of Honor recipient who served during the Civil War is buried here. Last Rest is run by a Board of Directors.
